I’m not real comfortable working with models yet, although the wife and kids have done some for me. My ‘Making a financial plan’ series is my most popular right now, although I can see technically how those pictures could be better. Still life photos are the ones I enjoy the most right now including isolated photos. I can see that model released pictures are by far the best sellers so hope to get more of them in my portfolio.

I am trying to get more systematic about what I photograph, in that I’m doing searches for things that I know I have available to see if there are many pictures of them uploaded. This also helps give me composition ideas when I find something I want to photograph and keywords too.

Do you have any good pointers for doing market research? I’m trying to keep an eye on what the best sellers are on several different sites and read what I can find.

Your portfolio looks a lot like mine when I first started. I’m no great photographer so I won’t give you advice on photography, but I can say that you, like myself, will benefit from some deliberate choice of subjects based on some market research.
