Did not get many pictures uploaded this month. My earnings were actually better this month with some activity finally picking up at IStockPhoto. I’m actually starting to get close to a pay out on a couple of the sites. It’s only taken me about two years.

Up last month, down drastically this month, although my numbers aren’t big enough to draw any sort of conclustion from. Sorry it’s a couple days late.

I had a 30% increase in microstock earnings from January to February! Mathematically that’s an accurate statement, the reality is that my numbers are still too small to make any assumption from that,I went from under $10 to just over $13. Wah Huh! Sorry, I’m in a bit of a sarcastic mood.
My experiment on rf123 doesn’t really seem to have worked. The ones I donated to get downloaded several times, but I was hoping for some action on some of the similar ones. And BigStockPhoto didn’t do anything in February, like I had hoped it would after it’s good start.
When it comes right down to it, I had fun doing it and what ever money I make is a nice extra. Although that doesn’t mean I don’t plan to keep working at it and setting some goals although my 10/week is already shot.

Just out of curiosity I tried donating an image last month on 123rf. I don’t know if that’s what helped me get the downloads that I did in January or not, but it was the best month I had there. So this month I’m donating several more with some thought involved in which ones I’m doing. Here are a couple of the images I’m donating.
My thought process was that these are single images similar to several other in my portfolio, so the hope is that the buyers will like these images and want some other images that are similar. I also updated my ‘faved’ images which can also help with downloads.
I’m also trying to get more deliberate and consistent with my shooting and uploading. I’m also wondering a little if I shouldn’t do some purging of some of my original images. When I look back at them now I can’t believe they were even accepted.
